It can use arbitrary/varying resolution of elevation data that it further dynamically refines using fractal algorithms. 1) Microprose is back, and in the sim business, and has announced at least two upcoming simulation titles, of which one is definitely a flightsim. 2) In 2019, MicroProse (owned by Cybergun) was purchased by David Lagettie, one of the makers of the TitanIM open world modeling software based on the Outerra engine.
